66% Bolivian Dark Hand Tempered BarRegular price £5.00
The rare Beniano wild cacao that grows on these remote forest islands in the Bolivin Amazon, a region which refers to itself as a 'traditional chocolate province', is sustainably harvested by indigenous collectors via boat, as it has been for centuries. The beans are small, only weighing half as much as typical cacao beans.
The last few Blue-throated macaws courier cacao seeds from forest island to forest island, playing a vital role in its propagation. The wild cacao harvest provides the local indigenous community with additional income and this chocolate helps to protect the heritage of its origin.
This chocolate from Original Beans has been hand-tempered by White Rabbit, and has flavour notes of sweet caramel with soft notes of pecans, almonds and floral honey.
