This dairy-free milk chocolate is made in the UK but inspired by 'Horchata', a popular Valencian drink made from tiger nuts, water and sugar. Tiger nuts are a superfood, and since they are a tuber, are also suitable for vegans and people with nut or dairy allergies.
The single variety Trinitario Chuno beans are sorted at origin by hand to ensure less than 2% waste, fermented for 4-5 days in wooden boxes covered with banana leaves and sun-dried on wooden beds for 7-8 days.
This chocolate from J Cocoa has been hand-tempered by White Rabbit, and has flavour notes of full flavour but light and clean on the palate with hints of almonds and berries.
