We had the pleasure of taking part in the annual Beverley Food Festival, which took place recently in the town’s marketplace, and had the even bigger pleasure of bagging not one but two awards!

The festival has become a hugely popular event, attracting thousands of people each year to browse, sample and buy from a massive array of local producers offering everything from cheese to gin and, of course, chocolate.

It was fabulous to be part of this celebration of all that’s great about local food and crafts, but the highlight for us was to be crowned Best in Show in the festival food awards for our Toffee Apple truffle and also garner the Silver gong for our Old Fashioned cocktail truffle. The former is made with apples picked from Becky’s garden and has an apple caramel with a lovely bit of crunch to it, while the latter has a morello cherry with bourbon caramel – just like the drink.
